So begins

And so begins our journey for Baby #2. I'm calling this blog Hormonal in Hornsby because that's where i'll be and that's how i'll feel. Though it's already started and i haven't yet made it to Hornsby.

I've been taking the oral contraceptive pill (OCP) for a month already. To help time everything and regulate hormones but not having taken any OCP for years, it's making me feel terribly ill and immensely irritable. Just started my 2nd round last night and this dose isn't feeling much better.

In 15 days i'll be on a plane with my 4 year old love of my life and without my 36 year old other love of my life who has to stay behind and bring home the bacon. I tell him that he couldn't have planned it better, getting to skip all the injections, hormonal fits and tests. All he'll be required to do is fly in for egg retrieval, make his "contribution", and have a lovely holiday for a week or two before leaving me again to endure the last week of the dreaded two week wait alone.

I think this will be a long ride...
